As of 2/27/13, these are all of the restaurants that I know of , in New York City, which offer a substantial raw vegan menu selection. The restaurants are listed alphabetically.
I have visited all of these restaurants personally. I like them all. Caravan of Dreams is popular, and is handy if you are going out with non-raw vegans who are not adventurous. Pure Food & Wine is very pricey, and has very fabulous food, a nice dining room inside and a very glamorous outdoor dining space (I will go there again when I find someone to pay for the dinner). Quintessence is a lovely, intimate little place with delicious selections. Rockin Raw is has recently opened shop in Manhattan. At the Brooklyn location, I was very impressed with their food selections, as well as the charming interior and very pleasant outdoor dining garden. The latest addition to the list of raw restaurants in the city is Rawlicious. The location is fairly convenient (walk about 6 blocks from the Canal Street R train station) and the decor is impressive.
